Restaurant Style Apollo Fish Fry Recipe : When we go to a restaurant we start with starter. But we can try these at home too. You might have tried many dishes with chicken till now, but have you tried apol fish fry? You can make this dish at home in a completely restaurant style. Moreover, there is no need to add any ingredients for this. You can happily prepare it with only ingredients found at home. Now let’s know how to make this tasty, restaurant style recipe..what are the required ingredients.
Ingredients required
Apollo Fish – 500 grams
Chili – 1 tsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Yellow – pinch
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Egg – 1
Maida flour – three tablespoons
Corn flour – three tablespoons
Oil – enough for deep frying
Garlic – 2 tbsp grated
Ginger – 2 tbsp grated
Green chillies – 3
Curry – 1 rebba
Chinese chilli paste – 1 tsp
Red chilli sauce – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – half a tsp
Yellow – pinch
Soya sauce – 1 tsp Salt – enough Curd – half a cup
Preparation
First take Apollo fish in a bowl. Add chilli, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and mix well. Now break an egg in another bowl and mix it well.. Add half of it to the fish pieces and mix it well. It gives good crispiness to the fish. Now add maida flour and corn flour in the same bowl and mix well. If you want the batter to be very thick, sprinkle some water and mix it till you feel that you get enough layer for coating.
Now light the stove and place the kadai on it for deep frying. Pour oil in it and heat it well. Put the prepared fish in it. After adding the oil, switch the stove to medium flame. Allow the fish to fry for four minutes without moving it. By doing this, the layer will stick to the fish and not blow away. After four minutes, turn the other side and fry the fish and take it out from the oil. Add finely grated garlic and ginger to it and fry. Add green chillies to it and fry. While the garlic is sauteing, add curry leaves and fry. Now add Chinese chili paste, red chili sauce, turmeric and fry it. Add light soy sauce, garam masala and mix well. Now add salt in it. As the sauces contain salt, it is better if you add less.
You will have to put curd in the bowl made like this. But some people don’t eat curd and fish together so if you don’t want curd you can add water to it. However, in restaurant style Apollo Fish Fry, curd is definitely used. Add curd and mix well to combine all the ingredients. Now when you think the gravy has become a bit thick, add the deep fried fish and mix it.
If the gravy is light, the crispiness of the fish pieces will decrease. If it is very thick, the gravy will not stick to the fish. So.. you should add the fish pieces when the gravy is medium. Mix them well. Garnish with coriander and restaurant style Apollo fish fry is ready. If you use water in place of yogurt then definitely use lemon juice in it.
